The brewery is situated in the former Schellens building. They have chosen a big and modern brewing situation. The part of the Schellens complex that was modified last in the 50s, is where they actually fitted the brewing installation.

The brewery itself is designed to produce enough beers for its own taproom as well as supply enough beers for the local beer bars in the city of Eindhoven. The first priority was to get beers form its city brewery in the local bars, like it was in the old days in Eindhoven. Just because of this they build the 1000 litre brewing installation with sufficient capacity to make our full range of beers.

2014, a small group of enthousiastic beerlovers visualised a dream and met up. The rest is history as 7 dedicated people made up the brewing team. Special beer is hip, is that bad? No, its the oposite, we think its great that so many beers are being brewed by so many big and smaller brewery's. We are proud to be part of that movement.
With so many styles and variations, its not so strange that so many people like beer and admire them. Beer is at this moment not less then where wine and whisky are. And that makes us, and everybody happy.

The most beautifull about beer is that these days any beer can be good. Almost any kind of beer can be made, with love. Techniques and ingredients are going crazy, and are proof that anything can be made. Collaborations are  at the order of the day in this business. Barrel aging is the next thing, and we like it.

City brewery Eindhoven, has its own taproom next to the brewery and its called 100 Watt. Its name and logo represent the lightbulb, made by Philips. Philips was offcourse symbol for Eindhoven as the city of light.

City brewery Eindhoven has allready made between 50-100 beers, with non alcoholic, Barrel Aged series, Neipa's, Quads and any other beer you can think off. It certainly is one of my favorite brewers here. Worth a visit if you are in The Netherlands, or Eindhoven. The province Brabant is well known for its relaxed vibe, open people, modern cityscape, great shopping, good food and offcourse great beers and great weather. Next week Van Moll, also from Eindhoven.

UPDATE !!!

On may 14th 2020, City Brewery Eindhoven won the title Best Dutch beer of 2020 with their 150Watt Quadruple. Wich is offcourse great news, and really is a worthy award for these amazing brewers.
